Can anyone give me any information on this weapon? The barrel is approximately 40 inches. I believe it may have been converted to a percussion, but not sure.

U.S. military musket converted from flintlock to percussion ignition. The lock, to me, appears of the pattern 1795 model. I sure someone more knowledgeable than myself on the subject will chime in.

Can we see better pictures of the lock plate? The muzzle looks like is had a choke hammered into it!!
