well t c finally sent the stock back. they had replaced it because i cracked it...the new stock is absolutly beautiful. i shot this can as my first shot back into the 50 and it punched hole right through it off hand at 30 yards. if any one has a chance to buy a new englander i would tell them 2 buy it any day! great shooting gun

Looks for all the world like a stock from a Renegade Hunter, from the treatment at the comb to the rubber butt pad. Of course, that should matter none at all, and it should be a good stock for you.

Looks like a Black Mountain Magnum stock from here. Good luck with the new stock.. The New Englander is a fun versatile gun....I feel for a production factory gun..best bet for the money!...Rifle or shotgun....You can tweak them any way you want. Enjoy....Dan

That's probably why T/C discontinued them! :haha:
No, I really don't know why but generally speaking, when a manufacturer drops an item it is usually due to poor sales. T/C couldn't hold the price line against the Spanish and Italian guns and I guess the New Englander just got too expensive to compete. It's a shame since there is not one single shotgun available today. Ardesa does make a nice 12 gauge single but Traditions does not import that one into the U.S. :shake: http://www.ardesa.com/en/detalles_rifles.php?wgo=5&wval=101&wbrand=2
