Well it looks like there will be No Powder For Sale at the Western Shoot this year, as the Traveling Power Man from Arkansas has Retired.

Now I find it appears you can order as little as 5# from Vendor, and UPS will Deliver.

Anyone know the LAWS on Minimum Shipments, and who has the BEST/AKA LOWER Powder Prices in the USA?

Nothing's "New" about the regulations,
Don't scare folks like that, :haha:

You pay the per pound cost, standard shipping and handleing plus a $25 Hazmat fee and the Brown Truck brings it too you.
Hazmat is the same for one pound or the max allowable of 50.

Graf and Sons has a sale on Shuetzen looks like a 2 pound ($25 minimum) purchase. https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/category/categoryId/3501

The smart move is 5 pounds or more from just about any of the suppliers for around $100. The hazmat being divided into as many pounds as possible is the bottom line determining cost factor,,, :idunno:

Graf & Sons, Powder Inc, and I also think Maine Powder House.

But if you can swing it, or find somebody to go in with you and split a case, its hard to beat a 25lb case price from a Goex Distributor:

If you go with Powder Inc. there is no extra hazmat fee, you only pay the price as marked and can get powder as low as $14.50 lb if you buy a case at a time.

Well so to speak, here's how it's listed on their on-line order form;

Freight + Hazardous Mat'l Fee: Included in blackpowder pricing.

Yup,

But if you do the math you still save a dollar or so with the 5 pound lot, twenty on the 10 pound lot and about thirteen or so on the case lot thru Powder Inc,

I like to save money. :hmm:

This is in comparison to Main Powder House

Graf and Sons has a sale on Schuetzen powder right now....$12.99 per pound. Shipping/HazMat extra of course. Still a great price.

The actual powder price is $12.20 per pound the rest is shipping and Hazmat

Graf marked store brand of BP is exactly the same powder as the Schuetzen and is normally much cheaper.
