Life would be much easier if I were artistic. In Merrill Lindsay's "The Kentucky Rifle" #12 a Jacob Kuntz of Lehigh swivel gun has a particlarly magnificent patchbox. Unfortunately, it is a really crummy photo. There HAS to be a better photo somewhere out there of this magnificent piece. I normally photo and trace off the wall. I imagine there is a digital way of doing it too.
 
Possibly a sketch or outline would engender more responses seeing the reference you mentioned isn't that widespread?......Fred
