In original as found condition. Moderately corroded and has a broken trigger & cylinder stop spring.

1. Have disassembled to clean: can I use one of the derusting fluids from big-box or will I ruin the piece?

2. Where can I locate a trigger spring for this piece? $$$

3. I'll probably require some help reassembling it. Any offers?

Hope everyones holiday was OK

Are you sure it’s a .40 caliber and not a .36? At this point I wouldn’t use anything other than gun oil on the piece. It may be possible to replace the spring with one for the Uberti replica but it will have to be modified to fit. I would also recommend contacting a professional restoration company. If that’s your intention.

Share pictures if you can. Thanks.
