SALE PENDING This is likely what is referred to as a "Monkey Gun" built in Belgium in early 20th century for African and South American native markets. Where this one stands out above other examples is its beautiful browned octagon to round twist steel barrel. Photos tell the tale. The bore in the 31.5" barrel has some pitting, but nothing that would preclude shooting proper BP loads. Has a laminated hang tag with loading data. No external rust or pitting. The wood is in very good condition. Has a 13.75" LOP. No buttplate. Trigger pull is heavy, but the back action lock can be tuned to better. Very light gun, weighing in at a hair over 3 lbs. You could carry this all day. $300 + Shipping.

Nice piece, and priced cheap, but I believe thats a faux twist steel. I cant ever recall seeing any octagon barrels made of twist steel. Maybe thats just me though.

This may be faux twist but a LOT of percussion era English guns rifled or smoothbore with full octagon or Oct/rnd barrels are twist steel.

It is yours. Sounds like those twisters had far reaching impacts. Looks awful from what I have seen. Stay warm. What is zip to calculate shipping?
