This maybe a dumb question,
If you dip your bullets to lube them, what effect do you think it has, if you get lube in the hollow cone part of the bullet?

IMO, having some lube in the hollow base won't do much if anything at all.

I know a lot of guys who shoot with just grease in the grooves and nothing in the hollow base.

Others put grease/lube in the grooves and into the hollow base.
Their theory is the lube in the base vaporizes when the powder burns and the airborn grease coats the fouling that's left in the bore, keeping it soft.

I've shot Minie's both ways and I think there is some truth to the idea that the lube in the base does leave the fouling a little softer than it is when there is nothing in the Minie's base.
