Does anyone have experience with (or thoughts on) the reproduction Malcolm telescopic sights? These rheumy old eyes ain't what they uster be and maybe a little 6X would help keep me in the game a bit longer. There seem to be a range of prices and I have little to no experience with these. Any and all thoughts are welcome.

I put a Tasco tube scope on a Sharps and discovered it worked in strong light but was useless in dim light, like evening or late afternoon.

I got my cataracts fixed with lens implants at 80 years old, fixed my sight picture like it was when I was in my 30s. Have you had your eyes checked lately?
Why, yes, yes I have. Unfortunately, I am not a candidate for the lens operation (so far). Thanks for the suggestion, however!

They told me that for a couple of years, A month or so before my 81st birthday, I went in because I thought I needed new bifocals. The optometrist said a new prescription wouldn't help and it's time to get those blacksmith cataracts taken care of.
An appointment with the surgeon and a comprehensive exam he said that depending on which lenses I wanted he could correct my vision. I told him I wanted to be able to see distances and especially my sights. He recommended the lenses that would do that, however I might have to use "cheater glasses" for fine close up work and very fine print. The day after my 81st birthday, he did my left eye and 2 weeks later the right eye.
Those lenses were pretty expensive but insurance paid a large portion, still it left a hole in my wallet for my share. Worth every penny though and my vision is corrected to 20/25 and I can see my sights once more and drive without glasses, clear night vision. I would say my vision is like it was when I was 30 years old.
