This community needs YOUR help today. We rely 100% on Supporting Memberships to fund our efforts. With the ever increasing fees of everything, we need help. We need more Supporting Members, today. Please invest back into this community. I will ship a few decals too in addition to all the account perks you get.
Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
If a gun won’t group at 25yds, it’s better used to beat fence posts in with it or get rid of it. If I can’t shoot well enough to group at 25yds it’s time to quit shooting.
I start them all at 25 or 30 yards; .32, .36 and pistols stay there. All others I get on paper at 25 yds then go to .50. I do shoot some at 100 yds because I once killed deer at around that or farther back when I hunted and could see. Our range has an 8" 100 yd. gong I like to shoot at.
I too get them on paper up close. It's amazing what happens between 25 and 50 yards. Then out to 100. You find out real quick if it's a keeper or a stinker!
