You might want to read "Searching for a Cost Effective BPCR Scope Solution". Go to Texas-Mac.com & open the "articles" link & scroll down to that one. While written by a BPC guy, the info applies to muzzleloaders looking for a scope as well. Compares a number of new & used scopes including the Leatherwood. As I recall, the Leatherwood scope got good marks, the Leatherwood mounts not so much.

The major complaints I have read involve the mounts, and fogging up, but you never know for sure until you try one.
 
The optics are good, but the rear mounts are just junk.
I find the optics on the one I have to be the equal of MVA's.
I do wish they would offer a choice in recticles as the crosshair is pretty thick.
