A large hand made Bowie that I purchased a long time ago with the intention of making a sheath and adding it to my cowboy action shooting persona. Well I never got to it or a lot of other projects either and honestly never will and I haven't done any cowboy shooting in years so here it is. The 12 1/2" by 1 5/8" by almost 3/16" blade was made from some kind of rasp and has a different pattern on each side. 17 3/4" overall length with a 4 1/4" handle of a type of unknown wood. The weight is 15.8 oz. and it balances nice in the hand. The steel guard is hand made and the pommel and guard have fine scratches from sanding. $110 $100 which includes shipping by USPS Priority Mail. M.O. or check which I may hold till it clears.

I have seen many files, saw blades, etc. made into knives, but I don’t think I have ever seen one that left that much of the file/rasp showing. Is it smooth on the sides or does it still retain the “raspiness?”
