I would like to sell this Bowie I had made for me by another member Dan99. I don't know if he is still on this forum, but he did a great job on this Bowie.

It's based on a Georgia Arsenal Type 1 knife. I gave him all the dimensions, but not an exact copy. Too many of these knifes are faked, and I didn't want to be that guy!

As you can see it has a 18.5" blade, And 24" OA length. Didn't measure the spine, but it's around 3/16"-1/4". Simple D guard as should be found on a knife of this type. Knife has a nice working edge. The size may seem large, but I guarantee this is historically correct for this type of Bowie.

I have never done anything with this knife, as I commissioned it as a part of my Civil War display. It has literally hung on my wall since the day I got it. It would be perfect for display or a Confederate reenactor. Only reason I'm selling is to find some original Civil War items I have my eye on. Asking $350 OBO shipped to your door. Please reach out if you have any questions. Thanks,

BTT. I'll lower the price for this week to $300. I hope to ship it before the Christmas rush! After that I'll keep her til the New Year. Too nice of a knife to get lost by the carriers.

The handle looks unnaturally fat for a proper Comfederate D-Guard.
Here are some pics of the taper and overall width on the handle. The original knife had a perfectly cylindrical handle, this has the sides flattened some. Again, these are faked so often, I didn't want to copy the original exactly. But the size is correct. Maybe the pics are deceiving.

It was my bad pics, definitely didn't do the knife justice. This is a big piece of steel, this is a mans man kind of knife. Without trying, I grew a full beard when I picked it up this morning to take the photos! I'll leave it up until the weekend. After that I'll take the ad down. I've had bad luck shipping stuff around the holidays, don't want it lost or ruined. Appreciate all the comments
