Anybody shoot these? Want to give them a try and need non lead here in CA. Curious if they will behave dramatically different than lead. They are made of tungsten I believe and have an odd belt around them. Any from any experienced users are welcome.

A friend has used them on pigs. They will work, just not so well.

He used the .485" in a 50 cal Lyman. They are oversized. They are to hard. Loading is extremely difficult even with a thin patch. The patch is cut on loading. Accuracy is poor.

They a great solution to an invented problem. I guess it beats staying home or getting a citation though.

If I were in a position to mess with them I might try a looser patch comb. I woule then use a fiber wad or cornmeal under the patched ball. Just brainstorming.............

My plan was to use a fast twist barrel, plastic sabot and a copper bullet. Those do shoot really well out of my rifles.
