Some of you may have read the thread about my trip to the two hundred yard range.

That trip happened because my buddy Johnnie wanted to sight in and shoot his .270 at longer range.

Well, several times that day (And every other time we've gone to the range) I loaded up my rifle and handed it to Johnnie. He gets a giggle out of it every time.

Today he calls to inform me that he has bought a Lyman "Deer Stalker" 50 cal caplock.

He's shopping for powder measures and nipple picks and whatnot so we can shoot Monday!

He held out for two months, but hitting that 200 yard target pushed him over the edge.

Good deal...another one joins the ranks!

Good job ... add another one to the list. Pretty soon he'll be right in with the rest of us arguing about 1:48 vs. 1:60 and BP vs. Subs.

Seriously, good to have another BP shooter!

Way to go, Frank! The more the merrier! He picked a good first rifle too.

Now all that is required is for him to become a member here, then he will have the best of both worlds...

his trip to the dark side is almost complete. once he goes flint theres no turning back. one of us, one of us, one of us.......

And when he gets that first deer or bear with it shooting PRB, he will continue to look for his fix. It wont be a pretty sight
