This rifle is in pristine, unfired condition. Serial number on underside of barrel is 325, which matches the number on the stock's barrel channel. I can't find a mark anywhere on it. Bore is excellent, shiny and new looking. Excellent fit and finish on this rifle. This is one of the original Ithaca Hawken rifles, not the later Ithaca Navy Hawken. $1500 shipped.

Ok Bobby, so you just bought this rifle recently from BriR, but he did not list it as sold....so can you explain to me why you say its not for sale but then you tell me to make an offer??

If you read his post after my PM to him, it said Sold Pending Funds. Yes, I bought his rifle and it is now mine. I do not wish to sell it, but like
all things in life, if someone offers you more that you paid for an item, you maybe willing to sell. I paid $1,500.00 and to me, I got a bargain.
It is the dream Hawken of BP shooters. To you it maybe worth more, I don't know. You can check his feedback and see my last
entry for him. I am happy owning a new never fired Ithaca Hawken, and very anxious to work up a load for it.

Ok Well I certainly understand all that...and if I buy it from you tho...I would prefer it still having never been fired...as it would be for a family member of mine who prefers that what price are we talking that ypou would have to have for it??

Gorgeous.

Keep in mind custom Hawkens are in the 3-4K range.

These are the very best next thing and for a fraction of the price. Far better than a Lyman for example!
I am not familiar, what makes this far better than a Lyman? Not disputing the claim, just curious what makes it better

Hello. Did you sell the rifle?

American made, and much better QC. And I don't think there were many produced. It I am correct. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. As long as both parties are satisfied, who gives a rip.

Rare, only a handful were made. American made. Douglas barrel. Cherry Corners lock and hardware.
