Muzzleloader looks hardly used
Couple of minor nicks on rear near patch box

Photo of touch hole/pan alignment? Sparker? Have you fired this one? Chrome lined barrel?

How does a stock bubble like that by the butt plate?
As a…whatever the opposite of an expert is, but someone who has worked with plenty of wood…my best guess would be recoil against the metal split the wood along the grain causing that flake to lift up.

Id be willing to bet you could pull that butt plate off, drive some wood glue deep into the split, and clamp it up for a day or so and it would probably be good to go.

Again, in my very not expert opinion.

If I didn’t already have a 54 hawken flintlock id probably scoop this up and do just that.
