whereabouts in michigan are you? I'm in SW michigan (Three Rivers). Would be happy to walk you through the basics.
When the ability to send private messages opens up for me I'll get one over to you with my information. I appreciate you reaching out.

Hey Blunderbuss, You will find this forum helpful. I have been on here only a few months, but have learned much. You will find all sorts and many with very strong opinions some of which are helpful and others, not so much. The best way to learn is hands on. Get a gun and try stuff out. And when you have questions ask away. The demographic on here is such that a lot of the members have many years of experience and the time to be on the forum.

Hello,

My name is Austin and I'm from Michigan. I'm currently a college student.

I've been around firearms my entire life. I have a lot of experience with modern arms, gunsmithing, reloading, and ballistics. I'm very interested in competitive shooting and primitive hunting.

I don't have anybody locally to teach me about traditional blackpowder stuff, so I've come here. I'm interested in learning as much as I can and am hoping to get set up in the hobby.
Welcome from the North Coast..

Thank you. I'm definitely trying to get hands on as quickly as I can. We'll see if I can find something affordable in the classifieds once finals are over.
