Also just joined Twin City muzzle loading club. They have a shoot and party that day . Thought it would be a good day to fire it in case i'm not as sharp as I think I am :)
That makes perfect sense. I had thought if I had finished building a new gun, I’d probably shoot it within the hour. But it’s good to go through the firing process the first time with someone experienced. Smart move. These pics are from our winter deer camp that my son and I were on in northern WIsconsin just 3 weeks ago. We both had .50 cal. Plains style percussion rifles. I built mine. It did snow and temp got down to 13 with a -3 windchill. No deer but we had a great time.
