Yes, I've seen that photo before. It was in Switlik's "The More Complete Cannoneer".

There are some scarry items that people are calling, and using as, a cannon.

Yep, far too many nitwits out there that would claim this cannon to be safe to shoot by saying things like "look at how thick the metal is, black powder isn't that powerful anyway" and "I bet this bore is just as straight as any of the old ones were anyway, they just made it up as they went along". :youcrazy:
 
No, no, no Bull you missed the best one, We have been shooting this for years without any problems.

That's also the standard statement made when ever somebody home cannon blows up and hurts someone.

What surprising is how many times it has been said here.
