unfortunately i waited too long to clean my pistol. i also do not have the tools or skills to unbreech it. ive washed it out with ballistol and water but the i do not know how to remove the rust. (its hard to see in the pic, but there's a lot of rust in there.)

I don’t have a bore scope so can’t see what is in my Traditions and other patent type breeched guns. That’s probably a good thing. I would just clean it as usual, dry it with wd40 or rubbing alcohol and after oiling the bore not worry unless you have ignition problems. I do clean mine with a 22 copper brush on a 22 cleaning rod. I have several of them so I can add sections for longer barrels.
