I use a piece is tanned deer hide to retain my powder horn plug, so I don't lose it while pouring powder. It is a thin strip attached to the strap holding the horn. I have added trade beads to the horn spout plug retaining strap. This is one way to show the beads. Open up your imagination.
 
FROM THE HAIR OF THE BEAST I TOOK THEM FROM! Just joking, i don't really care about trophies but do have some decorative stuff just strung from leather strips and sinewđź‘Ť
 
For my trade beads, a double strand of five-ply waxed linen. Don't worry about re-doing them every time; that's the fun of collecting them.
