I believe it is a brass frame & it is just the lighting that makes it look different in the photo. Hopefully a better pic with help. IIRC, High Standard sold them as Griswold & Gunnison repros, but it's been a LONG time since I've had one in hand. Edit: I see you are the OP, so the nickel plated frame is a new one on me!

WOW!!!! I would of given my left nut for a find like that! High Standard guns made in Hamden CT were some of the very best guns ever made.
