Greetings and salutations to all of those who contributed their time and information during my search for a rifle. It is a right hand lock, but when I combined the photos I had to flip them so it looks left handed on one of them.

Here she is brand new, sparkling like a diamond.

Tennessee rifle made by TVM.
Barrel marked R Avance in 45cal at 42in 7/8. Features iron mounted toe plate entry thimble, nose cap, buttplate and trigger guard. Super premium curly/tiger maple (are these the same thing?l) stock at 13 3/4 pull. This figure in stock is amazing. There is a very minor grain misbehave in the corner of the butt, but no crack or anything like that Full buck horn rear sight and silver blade front. Really good sight picture at this barrel lenght. In some time, I will be changing the lock to flint, but I think it looks good with percussion lock as well.
Enjoy some gun porn.
Thanks for looking.

Nice! yep I would be changing to a Flintlock asap. If ya don't mind how much did she run you.

This upgraded version of TVMs Tennessee would cost around 1300.00-1350.00 plus shipping according to their website. This wood is about 200.00 alone upgrade. I got it cheaper than that from a private collector.
I think I need to redo this picture. Looks like a complete lefty.

Yeah, it'd be nice if ya fix the picture.
Darn purty, I mean that's droolin purty wood, but the photo chop kinda takes things away from it

I'm working on this damn picture. Can't get it to work right now for me. I will repost this photo as soon as I can. The wood is truly a nice example. A bit too fancy maybe for a Tennessee rifle but I like it like this. Next project is on my mind. And another one. And one more. Actually one more after that one. Maybe another one after this one. Dang! There is a lot to be bought yet. Got to look for another job.

Thank you. This line in the corner looks much worst on the picture than in reality. It's visible, but much lighter in color.

That is a gorgeous stock. The rifle is simply a splendid piece of work. And, yes, it does need to be a flint. Matt does some fine work, alright.

Beautiful wood stock, and I agree the flint would look better but I bet that the cap lock will perform splendidly. Thanks for sharing.

Honestly, I enjoy caplocks as much as flintlocks. This piece should be a great shooter with either lock. Waiting for ammo to come in this week and hope to take to the range on saturday.
My wife loves it. Actually my entire family said it's the best looking gun we go in the house and we had some nice pieces earlier.

What a stunning rifle! That stock is exquisite and sets it off perfectly. Any idea what finish was used on the maple? How long did it take to complete? Jeff

The finish is just a semi gloss coating of some sort used by TVM. It's not as shiny but shines in good tones in the sun.
As far as time to complete... I bought it from a collector who had 5 or 6 of these. Current wait is about 8 months including 7 month wait on the lost and 1 month of making, so I think we can safely assume this is the time.

Oh what luck to find one already made to fit
The wait would be devistating..

That tiger stripe really pops out at you, and will be on my mind all day.. but then it usually is. I think i have an addiction to fine wood.. :shocked2: Thanks for sharing that beauty. J

Yeah, buddy!!! Now that's a real pretty rifle. Having that in your hand will put some strut in your step. It's almost too pretty to shoot......but I'll bet it sees some action pretty quickly. Let us know how she shoots. Thanks for the pics. :hatsoff:
