I have a pedersolli Kentucky rifle and I do enjoy shooting it but one of my main points of historic interest has always been the Civil War. I actually found this forum while looking for a rifle to buy. It seems as though they are sold out everywhere. I have ancestors from Vermont on several branches of the family tree that fought in the war and I would like to get a rifle that reflects their experience. I am also interested in the sharpshooter regiments I know per capita Vermont sent more men/ companies to the sharpshooters than any other state. Because of these interest there are several rifles I’m interested in Sharps, Enfield, Springfield foremost. I’m interested in what you guys have to say about what direction to look

Hello and welcome from PA. If you scroll down forums, you'll see a page for Civil War, I would guess that'd be the best place to start asking questions. Good luck.
