Just a few minutes ago while cutting my grass, my drunk neighbor talked my ear off for 30 minutes about how he's originally from there and how Wisconsin was solely responsible for winning the civil war lol I had to pretend that I was getting a phone call and that it was an emergency! I couldn't walk away fast enough...

Wow, I know a little civil war history, but did not know we had that much to do with it, although I do see plenty of veterans from the war graves at many cemeteries here

My great Grandfather William Wood enlisted in the Third Wisconsin Cavalry, as did his brother George. Older brother Charlie fought with the First Wisconsin Infantry. The boys, from Sauk County, enlisted in Janesville. And Wisconsin did win the Civil War. I have the letters to prove it. 😁
