Great site you guys got here, very informative. I started out with an inline a few years ago as a way to get an extra week in hunting season, then a cheap Traditions(plastic stock, nickle barrel so not very traditional :td: ) and loved hunting with it but was still missing something....Then one day while sitting around talking guns with a few acquaintances, found out one was an old hand at building longrifles. Next thing I know I have barrel and a lock come in the mail and find myself looking at hundreds of pictures of flintlocks!!! Looking forward to building my .58 Early Lancaster hunting rifle and thankful I have a friend who claims he can keep me from wrecking an otherwise perfectly good piece of maple.
