Hello Everyone! I'm excited to prowl around and learn what I can here. I have been an avid hunter for some time and was bitten by the muzzleloading bug last year when I called up a nice turkey for a friend and he shot it with a Brown Bess. As soon as I saw that, I just knew I had to have one! We searched for 9 months and ended up finding me an 1830's vintage 11ga, percussion fowler. Up here in Canada, there just isn't as much to choose from and that's all we found in the used market so far. Anyway, I have bagged one turkey with it so far this season and am loving every minute of it! I find that shooting is just plain fun again - I feel like a kid with his first.410! My interest in the associated history has blossomed again too. All I can think about is finding a nice flintlock fowler or fusil, so I'll keep looking. I subscribed to Blackpowder Hunting and Muzzleloader magazines and eat them up cover to cover as soon as they arrive. My "modern" equiped friends think I've gone crazy... maybe I have! :haha:

If you're crazy so am I! :applause: ::
