Hi guys, finally had a go with the new barrel I had made for my .45 Hawken, Kiwi made and still with a 1-33" twist. I started with 45grs of 2f Swiss , .440" p r ball, .010" patch at 50yrds, 10 shots in 3-1/2",but one flyer. Then went up to 50grs 2f sw with .015 pillow ticking patch and same ball, 7 shots 2-1/2" with a flyer. So I think it likes the 50grs best but will go to 60grs just to see what happens, this is the fun part, finding what it likes. Homebrew.357.

That's the ticket...just keep experimenting till the rifle says "I like this best"!

Just try and see...wouldn't be the first time a fast twist shot well with PRB. Make sure you've got a tight ball & patch fit in the bore, the fast rotation can strip or possibly tear the patch away. Give it a whirl, may surprise you.
