I'll be ordering my rifle tomorrow. It was advertised as a completed rifle but I got an email saying it is a kit. I have woodworking stuff. Drilling a pin hole for the forearm, have to figure that out. Metalfinish I have Birchwood Casey Wonderblue but I'm thinking of finding out about browning. Any suggestions?

I was looking at the Competition Board cardshoot. Looks like fun. I assume there's some allowance for we who have never shot a muzzleloader. Is the target at 100 yards? Since I'd be a beginner, if I get my rifle done for the April shoot is there a penalty for beginners if there are powder burns on the card. :haha:

Yeah, those Hopkins & Allens, underhammer and sidelock had the barrel attached to forestock with a pin drilled right through the barrel itself, I always wondered how and why they did that, still wonder. :hmm:
