I watched Gun Stories with Joe Montanga last night. Normally, I like his show and I tape it so I don't miss any. Last night, however, I was very disappointed with what he presented. The main theme of this show was the Hawken rifle. While the facts stated about the Hawken history were, I believe, correct, he demonstrated with a factory made rifle that was not truly representative of a Hawken. It was not a TC judging by the patch box. To make matters worse, when fired the hammer would blow back. I would hope he, and his crew, would know better how to set up an ml percussion rifle than to let that happen. To add to the mess, the smoke that blew out of the nipple was almost as much as at the muzzle. More perplexing, the nipple smoke was a strange pink/purplish color. I'll still watch the show and just hope he stays away from ml guns and sticks with what he normally does best.

Yikes! What were they shooting in there, pink gun cotton-candy propellent? I like Montagna, he's a good actor and 2nd Amend. guy.
