I'm a missionary in Colombia. A friend from another firearms related site sent me a link to an article here on a subject matter of interest to me. Muzzle loaders have been a part of my life going way back. Since I was raised in Brazil I got experience with their variety of smoothbores. Over the years I've owned a variety of charcoal burners but so far only cap locks of one variety or another. It is my intention to build what I call a 'faux blunderbuss' of about 8 bore in the not too distant future. Current black powder weaponry at this time only includes a CVA Kentucky kit rifle that a friend gave me. It was poorly done a while back and I resuscitated it. Anyway, I look forward to learning from the folks here.
