Very nice Lyman Great Plains .50 cal. started out it's life as a kit. I purchased it from the builder in Main. Very well done with browned barrel and primitive rear sight. Shoots to point of aim at 100 yds. Sorry about the fuzzy photos, I guess I need a lot more practice. The wood in the photos looks kind of red but it is actually more of a dark brown.

Two things I must mention. Just below the lock there is a sliver of wood missing (see photo). I got a little over zealous while fitting a flint lock in it and goofed. Just cosmetic but it's there. Second thing is the front barrel wedge is not original. The last time I took it to the range when I got home, it was gone. Got a replacement at The Gun Works in Springfield, OR but it is not Lyman. It sticks out a little on the off side (see photo)
