The "Grasshopper" and "Butterfly" were small light 3 pounders that served as infantry support guns during the Rev War. The "Galloper" is unrelated, and is a carrige design as opposed to a distinct type of gun. I'd recommend "Grasshoppers and Butterflys: The Light 3 Pounders of Pattison and Townshend" by Adrian B. Caruana. It is a small booklet that costs about $8. It shows line drawings of the tubes and the two carriage styles, plus a history of the gun.
