The second clip's smoke trail was Gonne with the wind... :D

Who was that scallywag shooting your Gonne?

It couldn't be you, there is no spittoon for a helmet... :hmm:

Thanks for showing us the fast pace world of Gonne shooting is all about... :thumbsup:

I love it :: :crackup: ::

How much fun can you have on a stick? Maybe you should call the next one Lollipop ::

Is it the sound of the ball smacking downrange, because it's about a second later. If you know how far we can can calculate how fast.

More movies please. We've had the Blunderbus, the wall piece and the hand gonne. Whatever next?

In the first clip there's an echo return or else the sound of the ball smacking downrange. :applause:

Good stuff.

That's the first shot, using the manufacturer's suggested load of 65 grains. I was at the 15 yard line. The "echo" was the ball thumping ground then hitting the plywood target backing. The ball flew 40 feet, hit the ground, and bounced up to hit the target. If you listen closely, you can hear me say, "That's it??"

Well, if I can get the money together and find someone who has a lathe big enough, I want to do a copy of the "Turin Bombard", it lobs a 6.5 inch ball. But failing that, I would settle for a 1/2 scale that could lob concrete filled baseball type grenade shells with smoke bombs for a trailing effect.

I'll have some more clips in the future after I finish up with the Vermont Renaissance Festival. Where I will be doing 13th century gonne demonstrations with Lord Graywolf of Hangonnes Designs. Check the Events section of the forum for more details. Lots of men in tights shots to come! ::
