A beautiful day at Dixons - not too hot.
I arrived early, spent all my money, and left by noon.
Stuck a few pictures in the slide show below, including my own ugly mug with "Blackpowder Barbie" Chambers - what a friendly bunch the Chambers folks are.
Also included a few shots of Long John working away in the ALR tent.
Appeared to be starting the arduous task of inletting a barrel.

Wish I could remember who that highly-engraved patchbox was by - that was some impressive work.

The last photo is from the farm stand at the farm next to Dixons, where I stopped to pick up a dozen ears of sweet corn on the way home. Makes me proud that this sort of trust and sense of community still exists in rural PA.

Very nice! :hatsoff: I'll take one of those powder horns, an a tomahawk, a knife, a 38" A weight 40 cal. barrel, and a nice piece of maple from Dunlop Woods, There goes all MY money also :haha: One of these days I'll make the trip.
 
Yep, Larry Gardener. I have always admired his work, especially the way he builds what he wants, and not what someone says he should. Great guy.
He wanted to see my last rifle, but it was sold before I could get it to him. If you need encouragement, he's the guy.
