Flint napping

Good day to all, i am new hear, and am looking to learn how to nap a flint. i have an original bess sea service musket, and also a MH second pattern reproduction bess.
i would like to learn how to nap the flints, to resharpen them, and i dont seem to be able to find it on the net. can someone point me the right direction please?.

Max, I just bounce the back edge of my knife along the leading edge of the flint..a light tap, while the flint is in the cock's jaws..you may even see the tiny knapped flakes in the lock's pan after you've done this..Hank

I use this little toy to knap my flints. Just tap on the front edge until some tiny pieces come off and it feels sharp. I've got more than one cut on my index fingers from checking.
