Like many, I use the Dutch Schoultz ballistol and water method for patch lube. I have 2 questions that I'd like to hear some feedback on.
1. Once treated and dry, how long should a strip last? I keep treated strips in either pill bottles or zip lock bags. I'm guessing the ballistol, an oil, doesn't evaporate, and would stay put forever, but am I right?
2. Can you retreat old treated strips? Or shouldn't you?
I ask this because it seems I always treat more than I need, have a bunch of treated strips anywhere between 6 and 24 months old, have a shoot coming up in a couple weeks and am wondering if I should pitch the old and make new, retreat, or just use my old patching
Thanks
