Just a quick trip out to test the new to me barrel. 7 different load combinations between powder, patch, lube, and ball. Shot the one Maxi to see if at 40 yards, which is 10-20 yards shorter than my normal target setup, it would keyhole or not, it didn't, surprised given the 1:66 twist. Had a good time despite the sun in the eyes, no wind and 50 degrees were nice.

Just wondering, what distance do most of you practice at, 25m 50, 75, or 100 yards?

How did you patch that?
Both balls were patched, started the first, cut patch at muzzle, started second ball, cut patch at muzzle then rammed both firm seat on powder.
