Offering a very handsome and practical custom long rifle in 54 caliber. The rifle has a 42" swamped barrel, 7/8" at the muzzle and 1 1/16" at the breech. Bore is in excellent condition, with round bottom rifling and a slow twist. This has been an accurate and easy-loading rifle for me. Barrel and lock are both browned nice and dark. The lock is a Chamber's Siler, sparks plenty and trigger pull is not very heavy for a single.

All brass furniture on a stock with some nice but subtle figure. There are a couple bumps on the wood, but overall very good+. The gun has 1/4 inch of cast-off, 13 3/4 inch LOP, overall 57 inches at just an ounce or two over 8 pounds. The rifle is well balanced, easy to carry and points naturally with just that bit of cast-off.

I believe this is a Chamber's early York gun, but given the stock architecture may be a Virginia, or early Lancaster.

Asking $1875 $1776 shipped in the US. PM for details.

Jeezy Pete's!! Why couldn't you have put this up for sale a few months after Christmas??!! JK she's a beauty for sure, would love to take her off your hand but my "sock drawer account" is a tad low. And my hips been hurting me lately and it's too cold to sleep in the garage.

Last time I had it out for a woods walk it got lots of compliments. A couple shooters were surprised it's a 54, as it is more slender and trim than the 40s they were carrying.
