What would be a correct 1800's period coffee pot other then a period pot to boil the water and coffee in? Any ideas as to where to get one?

Thanks,

Sandhiler

Copper or silver or the old cast iron tea pots go back to prerevolutionary period and every time since, Black "Granite ware" from civil war on.

I agree with Claude on the backwoodstin recommendation. I have a Copper 8 cup Coffeepot from them that is really nice. I also have a Copper Boiler and Cooking Pot from westminsterforge that I really like. You can't go wrong with either of these guys.

A good old fasioned enamel ware coffee pot. When it's done brewing, throw some crushed egg shells in there to settle the grinds and you're in business.
