Found this in a small gun shop last week, and wonder if anyone knows when or who made it. It’s marked “Carson 00015 20 GA”. 42” octagon to round browned barrel, flintlock. Small rear sight with a bead front. Haven’t pulled the barrel yet to check for any other markings. The lock sparks very well, and is marked L & R on the inside. Here’s some pictures.

Can't say I know anything about your Carson, but it is a nice looking smoothbore that has an English look to it.

I think you might have a North Star West English Officer's Fusil built from a kit, though the cast pewter forearm seems to be a one of a kind.
