I wanted a small bag for the spring turkey season. I like souther mountain inspired pouches so I spun up a small hunting pouch based on a similar size and shaped one in Jim Webb's fine book on southern mountain pouches. I picked a material that has a lot of greens and browns and looked to me like a swatch of material "borrowed" from a post Civil War carpet bag. This should be just enough to hold a pair of reloads for my double-barrel shotgun and a few wads and a puller in case I get too excited and forget the powder. I made a call earlier in the year material so I made a protective pouch for it too, lined with flannel and canvas. and had some leftover
