BTW, I have about 150-200 lbs of VERY Fine blacksmith Coal, but was told to mix it with some of what's available now to make it last. What do you guys use for coal and where do you get it?

You beat me to the tractor wheel, my grandfather had a tractor with wheels like that.

The Amish around here are allowed to have tractors, but no rubber tires! All the wheels look like that.

probably a blacksmith association around you some where. Most have coal for sale for forging, I have seen some guys use coal from tractor supply. Could make charcoal, It is a little labor intensive, but produces some good forging fire.

That metal tractor wheel had a long life before it became a forge! The smell of coal and the ring of the anvil are a great way to spend a day.

Lots of rural in this county. Several dealers in coal. They give you a blank look when you want smiths coal.
