Sold Pending Funds This is a truly gorgeous antique French muzzleloading combination stalking gun. The 25.5" barrels are 16 ga/12mm and are stamped L GHAYE on bottom. Ghaye was a Belgian gunsmith and barrel maker. Both bores are bright and shiny. The intricately engraved locks are marked Cogiuer (?) Strasbourg. Has two folding leaf sights. Locks, trigger guard and buttplate engraved with stags and hounds chasing a hare. All metal bright. The European walnut stock appears to have been lightly refinished. Or perhaps the gun saw little actual use. Action is tight and nipples look modern. Set trigger for rifle side. A fine, shootable antique and great addition to any collection. $1200 + Shipping.
