I had a piece of antler that was all chewed up by mice, so i made a nipple pick and a short ball starter.

Nicely done. You might consider drilling out the other "wing" of that starter to be a powder measure, No? :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

Yes. I made one from a fork in a deer antler when I first started shooting. Later found that I didn't like how it all worked, and replaced it with a better one. The shaft for my "Long starter" began to split, and that was Not the fault of the antler to be sure.

Of course, you have to settle on your favorite load before making a fixed powder measure for it, out of anything! :shocked2: :idunno: :thumbsup:
