Here's an original unmarked .43 caliber half stock percussion rifle. It has iron furniture, a functioning brass patch box, and a poured pewter nose cap. The ramrod is an iron tipped hickory replacement that has been fit to the rifle. The metal stands just a bit proud at a couple of spots. Namely at the tang and the bottom of the butt plate. The 2 breechplug tang (wood) screw holes need attention. There is a repaired crack at the forend, and a small sliver missing close to the nose cap. Check out the pics. Fix it up, or ditch the stock and use the original barrel and hardware. The stock just drops too much for me.

The Golcher lock works great with positive hold. The hammer is a replacement. The drum and nipple are new. The rear sight is handmade and adjustable for elevation. The bore is mostly bright, with a couple spots of minor erosion roughly the size of a field pea. Does not grab a patch, or fuzz it up.

Set triggers function like they should. I have put 20 or so rounds through it without issue. I did not sight it in, but was hitting the gong at 40 yards as is.

.420 mold from ballmoulds.com goes with. I will also include the remaining .420" rb's I have.

Specs:
barrel-37.5"
bore-.433" @ muzzle
OAL-52"
LOP-13"
Drop at heel-5"
Drop at comb-3"
Weight-11lbs
Barrel dia- 1.105@breech, 1.085@nosecap, 1.009@muzzle
The twist appears to be in the 60-66 range. It is a slow twist for a round ball.

$450 obo plus shipping. Will be fully insured, and packed well into a wooden crate. 795DB875-ACDE-46EE-9889-9169FFBA7557.jpeg67C646A4-1F4A-41B3-BA91-E2940F15EC58.jpeg58F392D8-1EF6-4CA8-99D1-3303D38408CD.jpegD1DF093F-E674-4F1F-82E4-312CE10B3EE2.jpegEF063323-0E99-4043-8B8F-6456B17DAEBF.jpegC5B299F1-4B1B-4BC9-B3BC-598A91115D57.jpeg8C8B199D-AD2F-4394-BE73-1B05E504DFB2.jpeg294B4378-D567-4341-B318-93499C5C1FB9.jpeg64C878E6-B2D9-4205-BFAC-73C6623F399B.jpeg793F8E4C-721E-49CF-B75F-FE2301B71548.jpeg
