Here is an antique barrel. 6 groove rifling. 37.5" from muzzle to plug face. .433” bore is bright with a couple of small pits. Slow round ball twist. Heavy barrel. 9 lbs.
under rib is solid and secured with screws. 5/16" thimbles.
Tang is .50” wide. Neat rear sight, probably filed from a single piece of stock.
