Finished a little project/learning assignment this afternoon. Length of 11 1/4” around the curve and 10” tip to tip. Width of 1 3/4” in the base. Plug is persimmon finished with tinted linseed oil. Stopper is ash with a vent pick and was finished with tinted linseed oil. This is now my personal horn. I’ve come a long way thanks to Billy Griner and his patience. The second horn pictured here is the first one I ever made on a challenge from my Uncle, Charles Outler. I appreciate both of these fellers investing in me; I hope I do not disappoint them. Thanks for looking.

Very nice work. I’m busy building rifle kits right now but a horn kit is on the list of things to do. I’m going g to try a little scrimshaw as well and can only hope to do as well as your first horn.
