I find this topic of classic longrifles to be fascinating and exciting, as well. I'm only a novice, but I have accumulated at least 3, large format books on them including a Shumway volume. There is plenty of time for me to go deeper into the topic as I am only a boy of 66. :grin:
When I have a chance, I will post some photos of my brace of 1816/1822 French cavalry pistols.
