I have an old Eley Bro, London tin. On the side the label reads "100 caps #13"

I'm familiar with #10 and #11 but what are #13s? Are those musket caps? How many other sizes were made?

Never heard of 13s, but I've got 18, paper-wrapped tins of Remington #12s The one's I've shot with so far worked flawlessly on my GPR.

The 1890 UMC catalog lists caps in sizes 9,10,11,12,13,14 and 18 plus Musket and Colt's Pistol.

It makes the notation that the following numbers correspond to the same number of Eley caps-
Small-Nos.9,10,11
Large-Nos.12,13,14,18

This is from the 1947 Stoeger's Cat.

So as you can see, No 4's and No 6"s were the musket caps.

Incidentally, Goldmarks were manufactured by Winchester Western.

Thanks for the info. Never gave it any thought of there being "obsolete" cap sizes.
